Who it's for
Owners, CFOs and operations leaders who know AI should help but don't want to buy tools or fund a build on a hunch.
- You've heard "we should be using AI" in three leadership meetings and nobody owns it
- You bought AI licenses and usage has stalled
- You have a list of ideas and no way to compare them
- Your core data lives in an ERP, CRM or project system and you're not sure what AI can safely reach
- You want a number, not a vision statement, before you approve a budget
What you get
Stakeholder interviews
Structured conversations with the people who do the work: estimators, project managers, AP clerks, underwriters, quality leads. We find where time goes and where errors start.
Systems inventory
A map of the systems you run, what data each one holds, who owns it, and how each one can be connected: API, database, export or not at all.
Data access review
Where your data lives, how clean it is, and what permissions exist today. We flag what AI should never touch and what it can safely read.
Ranked use cases
Every opportunity scored by estimated dollar impact, effort and risk, so you can compare a quick win against a larger build on the same terms.
Findings & Opportunity Report
A written report with the ranked list, a recommended first build, rough phasing, and the dependencies on your side. Yours to keep and use with any vendor.
Credit toward a build
A portion of the Discovery fee can be credited toward a build signed within a set window. The exact terms are in your proposal.
How it works
Step 1: Kickoff
We agree on scope, the people we'll interview and the systems in play. You name one internal point of contact.
Step 2: Interviews and inventory
Over the first two to three weeks we run interviews, walk through your systems with the people who use them, and review data access.
Step 3: Scoring
We estimate dollar impact for each use case using your numbers: labor hours, error costs, cycle times, missed revenue. Where we're estimating, we say so.
Step 4: Readout
We walk your leadership team through the Findings & Opportunity Report and the recommended first build. You decide what, if anything, happens next.
Where it fits
Discovery is the first phase of Discover → Build → Operate. What comes next depends on what we find.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Discovery a paid engagement?
Because the report has real work behind it: interviews, a systems review and dollar estimates built from your numbers. A free assessment tends to end in a sales pitch. A paid one ends in a document you can use with anyone, including another vendor.
How much of our team's time does it take?
Usually one interview of about an hour with each stakeholder, a few short follow-ups, and help getting read-only access or screen shares for key systems. We'll list exactly who and what we need in the proposal.
Do we have to hire you for the build?
No. The report is yours. If you do build with us within the window stated in your proposal, part of the Discovery fee is credited toward it.
