Financial & Insurance / Underwriting & Submissions

Get submissions out the door without re-keying the same account five times

Intake and submission tooling for commercial agencies: extract data from applications, SOVs and loss runs, check it against carrier appetite, and assemble the package for review.

Your account managers are data-entry clerks with licenses

A mid-market account comes in as an email thread, a half-completed ACORD 125, an SOV in someone's spreadsheet format and loss runs from three prior carriers as scanned PDFs. Someone keys it into the AMS, then keys it again into each carrier portal, then rebuilds it at renewal.

Meanwhile, the list of which carriers will write which classes, in which states, at what size lives in a few people's heads. Submissions go to markets that decline on sight, and the good markets wait.

  • Loss runs arrive late, in every carrier's own format, and get summarized by hand
  • Carrier supplementals ask for the same information in different words
  • Remarketing at renewal starts from scratch instead of from last year's file
  • Nobody can say quickly how many submissions are out and where they stand

What we build

  • Submission intake and extraction

Pull named insured, locations, exposures, limits and prior coverage out of ACORD forms, SOVs, applications and emails into structured fields your team reviews and approves before anything posts to the AMS.

  • Loss run summaries

Read loss runs from multiple carriers and produce one summary by policy year and line, with paid, reserved and incurred totals, open claims and large losses flagged, and stale valuation dates called out. Every figure links to its source page.

  • Carrier appetite matching

Turn your carrier appetite guides, underwriter notes and past quote and decline history into a searchable reference, so account managers see which markets fit an account before they send it.

  • Submission packages and renewal prep

Assemble carrier-ready packages and pre-fill ACORD forms and carrier supplementals from the account file. At renewal, start from last year's submission with changes highlighted.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Map your submission workflow

In Discovery, we walk through how an account moves from first email to bound policy, which documents show up, where time goes, and which lines and account sizes matter most.

  2. Step 2: Connect to your systems with least privilege

We connect to your AMS, email and document storage with access scoped to what the workflow needs, and agree up front what the tool can read and what it can write.

  3. Step 3: Build and test on your real files

We build against a sample of your actual submissions and loss runs, measure extraction accuracy with your team, and tune until account managers trust the output.

  4. Step 4: Launch and operate

We roll out to a pilot team, then the wider agency. After launch we monitor accuracy, add carriers and supplementals, and adjust as your markets change.

Systems we connect

  • Your agency management system (AMS), via API or export, scoped during Discovery
  • Microsoft 365 and Outlook, Google Workspace and Gmail
  • SharePoint, OneDrive and other document storage
  • Salesforce- and HubSpot-class CRMs
  • Carrier appetite guides, rating worksheets and supplemental applications you already maintain

Questions agencies ask

Does the AI make underwriting or binding decisions?

No. It prepares information and flags issues. Your account managers review every extraction, and underwriters at the carrier make the underwriting decisions they always have.

What happens when a loss run or application is hard to read?

The tool marks low-confidence fields and links each value to the source page, so reviewers check the hard parts instead of rechecking everything.

Do we have to change agency management systems?

No. We build around the AMS you run today and, where its API or import tools allow, write approved data back to it.
